Lush Time!

Hello girls!
I don't go frequently to Lush, it's far away, isn't exactly cheap (although the quality is amazing) and the products they sell really weren't of any use since I only took showers not baths due to my crappy heater.
That all has changed 'cus I got a new, fantastic heater that can heat the water until my skin falls out!I now live for the baths ah

Buffy - An old favorite. I've repurchased this body butter twice in the 3 times I've gone to Lush. Honestly it's the reason I went back a 3rd time. The weather is getting better, more skin will soon be showing, I need to get rid of all dead cells. I like it, it's thick, it's solid, it exfoliates for real but because it's such a heavy butter (with the cocoa butter, almonds) leaves my skin nourished. It works for me. Highly recommend it.7,95 for 90g.

Creamy Candy Bath - I cut it 4 bits and then let melt in the water. It gives lots of bubbles. Smells sweater than the bubblegum lip-scrub. It leaves my skin soft and creamy. It contains almond oil and cacaupara butter.I liked it, but didn't wowed me like Buffy did. 3,95 for 100g.

The Comforter in Pink - My sis loves it, the smell and the bubbles. Leaves the water pink. She also cuts it in 4 to get more use out of it, and it still makes more than enough bubbles. I'm not a fan of the smell I only bought it for her :p 6,60 for 200g.

Lemony flutter sample - To use on the cuticles or simple as a hand cream. So far so good. Smells divine, "heals" those damn cuticles leaving my skin soft and smelling of lemon. I'm really impressed by it.

And that's all. Thanks for reading.
What have you tried from Lush?  What would you recommend?
Have a good week (I'm on my spring break uh-uh)

Products i've used up #2

Hello gorgeous!
Gosh judging by the amount of empty stuff I've accumulated I'm getting better at this! It better be after I've strategically place my oh so smelly lush bag (the bag I use to store empties) by the door right in eye sight and pretty much threaten everyone who in their zealous pursuit of cleaning  might be tempted to trow my bag out ahah

L-R
Uriage Suppléance Corps (500ml) (19€)- A really nice, light lotion for normal to dry skin. Easy to apply, absorbs quickly enough without living a white sheen or staining the clothes. It has perfume in it. It isn't thick, definitely more liquid than lets say Nivea cream for example and lighter than Xémose. Leaves my skin nourished, soft and smooths the itching.
Uriage Xémose (400ml) (25€)- A body lotion with a rich texture, deeply nourishes the skin, giving it  elasticity, making it more resisting. It's an antipruritic so restructures and calms. Again really easy to apply, doesn't leave any white or oily sheen, it has a remanence of 48h. It also has a cumulative effect. No perfume although the smell is due to the main active ingredient. I love it, it's my favorite of all body lotions or butters. I specially use it during the winter/colder days when my skin is more fragile and itchy. And has been the key to extend the relapses of my atopic skin. And now with a new package, by vacuum to avoid waste. To me is really the best! Worth the try. The price fits its quality/quantity, but I try to switch up with cheaper ones while having one as a backup/emergency situations.

L-R
Klorane, vitaminized gloss balm with pulp cider (150ml) (8€) - It had a light yellowish tone to it and a pleasant refreshing smell. It isn't a balm that smooths the hair, no! It does exactly what it says "detangles and adds shine". My hair was definitely shinier and easier to brush through with tones of volume right away without any styling. But not smoother, no. Shinier Yes! So if you're looking for a nice balm of a better quality and not so much softness then give this one a go. I've bought it at a local pharmacy but it's also available in parapharmacy.
Garnier, cocoa butter and coconut oil Shampoo (250ml) (3€) - Cleans my hair and helps to detangle it.  It height my hair down, as expected, and if I don't use a good condition after, my hair feels dry. I know that as far as the ingredients go they aren't the best ones they include some nasty ones, but I need to have a normal, old school shampoo that washes my overly stressed oily and full of build up products, hair. I don't seem to get quite the same refreshing /cleanness with high end shampoo even the clear ones. Overall I like it, its efficient and easy to get a hold off (supermarket).
Vichy, Soft and Fortifying Shampoo (200ml) (9€) - It's basically a shampoo full of minerals for frequent use to normal hair and it claims to strengthen and soften the hair. The minerals include magnesium, iron, calcium all antioxidants, stimulants and protectors of the hair. It had a clear, gel-like texture, nice scent. Although its better quality,it still contains bad ingredients, as most do, but fewer. I did notice my hair felt stronger, more resisting, it almost seemed thicker. Gentle to my scalp, didn't dry my hair out, didn't build up. But it didn't leave it feeling softer.Washes nicely. If it was cheaper I would get it on a regular basis. Awesome to use intermediate with treatment shampoos but I wouldn't use for the blonde hair.

L-R
Caudalie beauty elixir (30ml) (10€) - A beauty water with Grape, Orange Blossom, Rose, Lemon balm organic Rosemary. It's an absolutely addiction to spray it every minute on your face. It's refreshing, leaves my skin feeling really soft, reduces pores, the smell might too much for some, so before you buy do smell it. It's a luxury product but it's lovely. I love that it's basically a tonic with a spray and a much nicer smell. If I happen to have 10€ to splurge and I'm feeling it, I might get it.
Natural, Máscara de Argila Verde (50ml) (<10€)- It's an old favorite, everyone in the house uses it. It's a green clay mask, no need to add water, it's already done and ready to use. Easy and good to apply, feels fresh. Gets ride off all the oiliness without drying out too much leaving my skin soft.I apply it with an old brush from school. It's lovely, getting another soon.
Body shop,Tea Tree Blackhead exfoliating wash (100ml)(8€)- It's a green exfoliating wash with also dark greens beads. I didn't like it, it didn't do anything to my skin, although it's still better than nothing. It didn't get ride of the dirt / oily enough, nor did I feel my skin any softer. The only thing I liked was the smell. I'm glad I'm getting rid of it, I wasn't lucky with this one.
Uriage, Stick labial (7€)- This stick is soft, gentle to apply, slides through the lips nicely, doesn't or leaves any colour but leaves a bit of a shine, no taste, it doesn't break (at least not that easily). It has a good nourishing formula leaving my lips happily hydrated. Compared to the labello, it's smoother, feels more natural, the hydration lasts longer and it's quicker adsorb. The only thing I hate is the damn price :/
La Roche Posay, Cicaplast Baume B5 (9€) - I've done a full review on this one with swatch and all check it here. It's a healing balm for the the everyday (minor wounds/cuts etc) contains antibacterial agents even against acne. It hydrates and speeds up the healing. For the colder days I've been using it as my daily moisturizing after I've run out of the hydrance optimale light from Avéne. My skin feels great, no pimple in sight although the pores are a bit larger :/ Overall, I advice to get one, just not as a daily moisturizing.
Avéne, Hydrance Optimale, Light (40ml) (20€) - A daily moisturizer suited for normal to mixed skin. With a fresh and fine texture leaves my skin soft and infinitely comfortable all day long. It both captures my oiliness and hydrates my skin without clogging or trigerring it. It's enough to protect my skin against harsh winds or colder days. I use it during the day while at night I use a specific one for oily prone skin. An ideal face cream for the oily skins that from time to time seems to get dryer either due to the weather, prescription pills etc. Definitely getting one again. There's also a same one only with UV protection and a richer one for dry skin.
Avéne, Clenance k (40ml) (14) - This is an old one. It supposedly exfoliates and drys out pimples, black heads. It has a gel texture and it's suited for skins with lighter imperfections. It gets the job done, yes it does but the thing is that It stings and not only for 5 minutes. It makes sense since it has glycolic acid. But yeah I've found my self running away from it, not using it as frequently as I should. But it's effective, I just can't take those stings on my nose! I'm way too sensitive LOL I advice instead the cousin from La Roche Posay, clenance K, does the same, only it doesn't sting.

So what do you think? Hope you've find this somewhat interesting and helpful
Yes I like Uriage, but in no way I'm sponsored (I wished lol) but you know how it is once you like a product normally you tend to stick to that brand.

Beauty Tip #2 - Stronger nails

Garlic and Nail polish basically.

I'm sure some of you have at least heard this trick before, maybe even some grandma of yours use it. But the truth is, it really does work and it's easy and cheap.

The only disadvantage is the smell! yes sadly it does smell like garlic when you first apply it, but it goes away shortly after. But it doesn't borders me.

And to this day I haven't notice any alteration in my nail polish.

Here's what to do:

Side Notes:

-  > it's keen that you've already used some of the nail polish so there's enough space for the garlic or else it would spill over and we don't want that;

-> Cut the garlic in small pieces enough to fit trough the bottleneck;

-> If you're having trouble making it go down just use the brush, way less messy :p .

After all this work you only have to wait about 7-9 days until all the enzymes and vitamins have invaded the nail polish and voilá, stronger nails await you.
Just remember to shake before each time you use it.

Hope it was any help to you.
Do you have a secret DIY beauty tip you would like to share? I'm all ears...or eyes:p
Have a bright week

Beauty Tip #1 - At home wax

Hello ma dears!! Finally Friday right? Boy did this week went by low or what!
Well this post will be another topic turn of my usual posts. Today is entirely about beauty, not so much a beauty tip as I'm sure a lot of you know this already.
I gotta confess I love doing my upper lip "moustache" ahah out of the house specially at Wink where they use those tiny and strong cords you know? it looks amazing, it even takes those tiny little ones out, leaves my skin feeling so soft but then again I don't have or want to spend 6 euros to do it every 15 days.
So the other choice is to use wax at home before going in with tweezers.
Up to these days I use one from Veet specific to the upper lip area consisted of 5 small strips, around 4,99 euros. It's really good, easy to use and very efficient, catching all of the fluff at the first try, smells nice too like cherry.
But then my eye caught the ones for the legs from the exact same brand...

The exact design and all, at first the strips look alike (colour, texture the feel of it) expect for the size, being obviously bigger.
Each one of this boxes bring 10 big strips plus 2 wipes for 7,99 euros.
So the question was, is the wax the same or does the same as the one for the upper lip? YES!

The down side is the application. You do have to cut it to fit the upper lip area and it's a tiny bit messier.
But you do get 4 times more product if you don't mind using the scissors. I sure don't it will last me forever, and it does the same, feels the same, the same thing honestly.

So there that's my tip, go ahead and try to see if it's the same.

Other tips I use when waxing :
  • Use baby powder independent of the area you're waxing 'cus it will help the wax attach to the fluffs and facilitates the whole process being faster. But not too much or the wax won't attach at all, it will slide on it.
  • Wax after washing and drying the skin 'cus since the skin is hungry for some hydrating it will adhere way better to the wax. But beware of dry skin since it can leave a burn.
  • Try not to wax twice on the same place it will 99% of the times leave a burn.

Any recomendations I'm all ears!
Hope you've enjoyed this unsual post from me.
Happy weekend

Beautybay purchase

Hello gorgeous!
I'm sure you've probably heard of beauty bay an UK online shop for beauty items (with the lower prices of the market) with free delivery but of course.
It was my first time ordering from this website and i wanted to share it with you, in case your still undecided or if you just like to know how it goes.
On this post I'll basically do a review on their service, if it's safe, an opening package sort a of thing mixed with how must it was.

How it went:
I selected 2 bottles of china glaze nail polish that i can't get here or if I can they're ridiculously expensive beyond understanding. Wrote down my address &  paid using Visa. Immediately after I've received an e-mail saying "yes we've acknowledge your order Miss".
I post my order on a Friday 31st of August a dumb thing to do since they don't work on the weekends and rightfully so. Therefore I only received the e-mail confirmation that my order has been dispatched on Monday, 3rd September.
I then received the actual package 8 days after on Tuesday, September eleven.
The package arrived safe and sound, the actual cardboard box was inside the black plastic bag.
The nail polish was all wrapped in a bubble bag and in turn the bubble bag was surrounded in styrofoam all inside the cardboard box.

The price:

How it actually appeared on the passbook ("caderneta") or the coupon

Each bottle was 7,16£ , both 14,32£ . In Euro 18,12. Those 0,49 and 0,02 are the taxes.
Each china glaze bottle in Portugal retails at about 19,99 which makes this purchase a success.
But they're still bloody expensive. Just to think they retail at 6 dollars in the USA.

My opinion:
I'm satisfied with their service. Fast, it came by plane and I bet their not exactly based next to the airport. It had to go through the customers services, it went to head quarters of the post office, etc. All in 6 days because the post office is closed during the weekend.
I was terribly worried about the nail polish, would it crack, would I open the box to find all the nail polish blasted everywhere? Thank god it arrived in perfect state, it even survived after the postman tossed it over my fence just to safe me the time and trouble of heading down to the local post office XD Can you imagine?Me open those curtains to see who was ringing and suddenly see a black bag being tossed over my fence and screaming at the top of my lungs "NOOOOOOO!"

Why I buy online?
It's cheaper, easy, so far I have nothing to complain about.
With the IVA being here so high, plus the intermediaries profit the final price is way too much for me so I turn to online beauty shops specially the British ones. Cheap, fast service, it's worth it to save a few more bucks. I get to use "luxury" beauty products that I normally wouldn't be able to.
And I quite frankly don't like & want to buy anything here knowing 23% is going directly to the government! I'm tired of it. They're too greedy, I want them to go....whatever far away from me.

Will I buy more nail polishes? Hell no, they're still expensive. It was a splurge. A 2 year splurge in the making. I'll probably just buy L'oreal shampoos, TIGI shampoo and conditioner for my sis, that sort a of thing, but not until the new year and with coupons :P

My personal tips when buying online:

I've bought from on-line websites twice from Feelunique and once from lookfantastic (see the review here), being feel unique my favourite simply because is the fastest one. Both offer free delivery by the way.

 - Buy during the sales. I only buy from on-line shops on specific times of the year, the sales. The summer sales and the sales after Christmas 'cus that's when they lower the prices even more.
- Give the time and effort to compare the prices between websites. Read tones of reviews on both their customer services and the actual products that you're thinking of buying.
- Visit websites that have voucher and discount codes for you to use like everydaysale.co.uk, or simply tied it down on google.
- Make sure it's safe. I use the mbnet system. It basically creates a virtual & temporarily visa card where you put the amount of money you want in there, I only put enough to post the order. That way they can't get to all your money.
- If your buying for the first time, then only order 1 product, just to try it out, see if takes a long time, if it actually works and all.
- If your buying in a different coin make sure to check the rating. Pound is usually higher during the summer.

Hope you've find this very long post somewhat useful
If you have anymore questions or doubts please ask, or even suggestions I'll be sure to answer them all.
Have an awesome weekend
