Bioderma, Atoderm Créme Lavante - review

So this post is all about Bioderma's new product a cleansing cream for dry to very dry sensible skin, the Atoderm Créme Lavante.
They say one can use it to wash the body and face and everyone can use it: adults, children and baby. Its creamy texture is supposedly more moisturizing and gentle to the skin. It's paraben free, soap free and also Hypoallergenic.

Então este post vai ser inteiramente dedicado ao novo produto da Bioderma para higiene da pele sensível seca a muito seca, o Atoderm Créme Lavante.
Está indicado para a lavagem do corpo e da cara, podendo ser utilizado por qualquer faixa etária: adultos, crianças e bebés. A sua textura cremosa é supostamente mais hidratante e gentil para a pele. Está formulada sem parabenos, sem sabão sendo também hipoalergénica.

My verdict:
It's a light creamy wash. It still lathers although faintly and it quickly disappears. It doesn't lathers near as much as the one you get from the supermarket. It has a light discrete perfume to it. It cleans well without stripping my skin. Doesn't leave any residue on the skin.
Does it hydrates? Yes, definitely more than the standard ones. But I was expecting it to be more nourishing to be honest. It doesn't free you from using a body lotion after. It probably needs oatmeal, or maybe more fatty acids to be more nourishing. 
It retails for about 17,90€ por 500ml. I got mine (200ml) for around 10-11€ but I'm not entirely sure.
Is it suitable for problematic skins, for example psoriasis or atopic dermatitis? No, at least not during the acute phase, just because it has perfume. Perfume can lead to itching, then you scratch and then you have a big nasty dermatitis in no time. Try it out during the reminiscent phase because its low maintenance and its a good product,worth the try. Or use it during the summer when the skin is naturally stronger and less picky. But if you think it isn't nourishing enough try out the atoderm PP instead. 
At first I didn't get along with the packaging. It didn't close. The product would come out easily making a mess. I found it a bit strange since they are so obsessed with ensuring the quality and the product's aseptic.You need to give it a stronger pat to close the lid, but not too much or else it will break.
In short, though it's a good quality product is not my favorite from Bioderma. But yes I would recommend it to a friend with dry to very dry skin without allergies. It's quite pleasant to use, gently cleanses and moisturizes the skin. And the quality / price is very attractive.

O meu veredicto:
É um creme lavante leve e cremoso. Faz uma pequena e ligeira espuma que rapidamente se dissipa. Não faz nem de perto nem de longe tanta espuma quanto os que se compram no supermercado. Tem um perfume discreto. Lava bem a minha pele sem a privar de hidratação. Não deixa qualquer resíduo na pele.
Hidrata?Sim hidrata e muito mais do que os do supermercado. Mas mesmo assim, eu sinceramente estava à espera de mais. O facto de usar este creme lavante não me livra de ter que usar a loção / bálsamo corporal. Eu penso que falta aveia ou mais ácidos gordos para o tornar mais hidratante.
Está à venda nas farmácias e para-farmácias a 17,90€ por 500ml, não me lembro de quanto comprei o meu mas senão me engano anda à volta dos 10-11€ por 200ml.
Se acho indicado para as peles com problemas, como psoriase ou atópicas? Não, não pelo menos durante a fase aguda só pelo facto de ter perfume. Perfume pode levar à comichão e depois coça-se e num instante desenvolve-se uma danada dermatite. São peles muito susceptíveis e frágeis a qualquer composto mesmo nas mais pequenas quantidades. Eu aconselharia a sua utilização nas fases de remanescência e ver como a pele reage. Ou então então experimentem no verão quando a pele está naturalmente mais forte e menos "picuinhas". Caso não seja o hidratante suficiente tentem o atoderm PP tanto o gel como o balsamo corporal que são mais calmantes e hidratantes. 
Eu a principio não me entendi com a embalagem. Ela não queria fechar pelo que o produto saía com facilidade fazendo uma sujeira. Bem que estranhei já que são tão obcecados em garantir a qualidade e a asséptica do produto. Mas é preciso dar uma pancadinha mais forte para fechar a tampa, mas não demasiado senão é capaz de parti-la.
Resumindo embora seja um produto de boa qualidade não é o meu produto favorito da Bioderma. Mas sim eu recomendaria a um amigo com pele seca a muito seca sem alergias. É bastante agradável de usar, limpa suavemente e hidrata a pele. E a qualidade/preço é bastante aliciante. Pode ser um excelente produto de limpeza para toda a família.


Looking at the ingredients to testify their claims of nourishing and gentle cleansing:
(tip: the ingredients are listed from highest to lowest concentration)
->In 2nd place I see a sulfate... I'm not happy to see it so early.
->Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate: an anionic surfactant, it has a negative charge when in solution. It's in perfect tune with the skin, it gently cleans the skin without striping it,without leaving the skin squeeky clean. It makes the foam.
->Sodium cocoamphoacetate also a safe surfactant derived from coconut, present probably to enhance, ensure a good tolerance. This guy also gently cleans the skin.
->Glycerin, Cocoglucoside, jojoba wax esters, glyceryl oleate are responsible for enhancing the skin barrier either by promoting moisture retention or strengthen the hydrolipidic film or even enrich the stratum corneum of lipids. I like them...a Lot! They're responsible for nourishing, comforting the skin and given the fact they're so high on the list means they're concentrations are high, leaving me very happy lool
->Zinc Gluconate now I was exciting to find this one because besides delivering Zinc (which by itself helps the healing process and enhances skin hydration) it also restrains, limits the bacterial proliferation by attacking the cell surface, blocking the cycle of the bacterium.

Olhando agora para a lista dos ingredientes:
(dica: os ingredientes estão listados por ordem decrescente da sua concentração, ou seja, do mais concentrado para o menos concentrado)
-> Logo em 2º surge um sulfato e não gosto que surja tão cedo.
->Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate: um surfactante aniónico, que adquire uma carga negativa quando em solução. Está em perfeita sintonia com a pele, lavando-a sem a destituir de hidratação.É o agente que faz a espuma.
->Sodium cocoamphoacetate também é um surfactante seguro derivado do coco, presente neste produto provavelmente para garantir uma boa tolerância. Também lava a pele.
->Glycerin, Cocoglucoside, jojoba wax esters, glyceryl oleate são responsáveis por aumentar a barreira da pele quer por promoverem a retenção de hidratação, por reforçar a barreira hidrolipidica e ainda por enriquecer o estrato córneo com lípidos. Gosto bastante deste grupo! São responsáveis por hidratar, confortar a pele e tendo em conta que surgem tão cedo na lista quer dizer que estão em quantidades elevadas, deixando-me muito contente lool
->Zinc Gluconate eu fiquei entusiasmada por o ver por estas bandas, porque para além de entregar Zinco (que por si só ajuda no processo de cicatrização e hidratação da pele) diminui a proliferação bacteriana ao atacar a superfície da célula, bloqueando o ciclo normal da bactéria.

Vichy's Normaderm Anti-Aging - Review

 
     Hello bloggers!! As promised here's the normaderm review. My currently favourite face moisturiser for this past couple of months & i'm loving it!!!
     That being said the new Vichy Normaderm Anti-Aging is suitable for those women, around 30 or even less, that still have imperfections (blackheads, pimples..) but already show the first signs og aging (fine lines, uneven complexion...) supposedly  has a "revolutionary gel-cream texture " that reconciles the "comfort of an anti-aging" with the" lightness of anti-imperfection formulas".

    Olá bloggers! Bem este post é para partilhar o novo creme hidratante que tenho andado a usar nos ultimos 2 meses e simplesmente adoro-o. Normalmente quando oiço falar de cremes anti-rugas torço logo o nariz porque associo-os a uma textura muito nutritiva que acaba por obstruir os meus poros.
     O novo creme da Vichy, o Normaderm Anti-Rugas está indicado paras as mulheres, na casa dos 30 ou menos, que  apresentem ainda imperfeições ( pontos negros, comedões...) mas que ao mesmo tempo  apresentam os 1ºs sinais de envelhecimento ( Ridulas, tez disforme...). Segundo a Vichy este novo produto de "textura gel-creme revolucionária" concilia o "conforto de uma textura anti-idade" com a "leveza das fórmulas anti-imperfeições".


Now the cientific Part:
Because i like to know if a product at least has the "ingredients" to backup the propagand, and because i'm a geek and enjoy testing my new knowledge :p each crazy with its craziness:p

- LHA +  Glycolic Acid. LHA works in the upper layers of the skin while Glycolic Acid operates in deeper layers and both do an exfoliation and a micro peeling (a very soft one) in order to softened and tighten the pores and smooth out those bad wrinkles;

- Vitamin C has a doble action: anti-aging and an uniformation of the complexion. It stimulates the multiplication of fribroblastos, the mother cells of Collagen. It also smooths the skin and gradually reduces spots;

- Kaolina + Sílica absorving the oil leaving the skin mate;


- Glycerin (6%) to enhance the hydration;

- 5% of Vichy Thermal Water to soothe, strengthen and regenerate the skin. 
Parte Cientifica:
Porque eu gosto de saber se um produto tem de facto os ingredientes necessários para o slogan das propaganda e porque gosto de testar os meus conhecimentos:p Cada doido com a sua doidice :p

- LHA + Ácido Glicólico. O LHA actua nas camadas mais superficiais da pele enquanto que o Ácido Glicólico actua nas camadas mais profundas e juntos exercem uma microesfoliação e um efeito peeling (muito suave) de modo a desincrustar e apertar os poros e alisar as rugas;

- Vitamina C tem uma dupla acção: de anti-idade e sobre a uniformização da tez. A vitamina C actua tanto ao nivel da derme como na epiderme. Ao nivel da derme estimula a multiplicação de fribroblastos, células originárias do Colagénio. Já ao nivel da epiderme alisa a pele e atenua progressivamente as manchas;

- Kaolina + Sílica que absorvem o sebo deixando uma pele matificada;

- Glicerina (6%) para reforçar a hidratação;

 - 5% de água Termal de Vichy para apaziguar, fortificar e regenerar a pele.



At a first glance it has a greenish colour does it not?
I feared that it would be notice but no the cream is imperceptible once u've blend it in.
Assim à primeira vista parece que tem uma cor algo esverdeada não é verdade?
Até receei que se fosse notar uma vez que o usasse, mas não o creme fica imperceptível.

 Como se aplica:                                                               How to use:
- Dia e/ou à Noite sobre pele previamente limpa;              - Day and/or Night on pre-washed and dried skin;
- Evitar o contorno dos olhos;                                            - Avoid the eye contour;

                 Application for smoothing                                               Gesture of self-draining

What i Think:
    Well as you probably know Anti-Aging creams have such a rich and nutritive texture being more targeted to the dry skin not really for fighting the large pores and uneven skin. The texture and thickness of this product is definitely lower preventing the skin from feeling oily and shiny. I didn't feel any discomfort nor the the awful feeling of having my face shining like a disco ball.
    But, and now i'm giving you my honest opinion, comparing with the fine texture and mate "finish" of the oily /acne prone products this normaderm is a little ticker not a lot more but enough for me to notice. But now that the cold days are here i think it's bloody perfect!! It has that extra nutrition to protect my skin from the cold weather and a matifying part to keep up with my teenager type's skin.
   Comfortable, with a characteristic odour of the Normaderm range, well absorbed by the skin leaving it without shine and mate but nourished. As for the wrinkles i can not say anything, if I said it would be bad news even more with my age, but I believe that the dark spots left by acne are not as noticeable, apparently my skin loves vitamin C.:p
    Yup i aprove these one, lets just hope they keep on inventing more anti-aging creams for people with oily skin.
 
A minha opinião:
   Os cremes Anti-rugas têm uma espessura e textura bastante forte e rica estando mais direccionadas para  peles desnutridas/secas não lutando contra os poros dilatados e grão da pele irregular. Neste caso a espessura e textura do novo creme é muito inferior, não deixando a pele oleosa e brilhante. Não senti desconforto nem a tão temivel sensação de ter a pele a brilhar qual uma bola de disco ao usar este produto.
   Mas mesmo assim comparando com a textura fina e sem brilho dos cremes destinados somente a pele acneica/oleosa este normaderm anti-idade é um pouco mais espesso e nutritivo não muito, mas o suficiente para se notar a diferença. Claro que esta é a minha opinião secalhar outros utilizadores não o notarão.Mas agora com os dias mais frios cheguei à conclusão que é perfeito, já que tem aquele extra de nutrição para proteger da secura do frio e parte matificante para a minha pele de teenager.
     Confortável, odor característico da gama normaderm, bem absorvido pela pele deixando-a matificada e sem brilho mas nutrida. Quanto às rugas não posso dizer nada, se dissesse seria má noticia ainda p'ra mais com a minha idade. Mas com base na minha pele de adolescente, embora já não o seja à algum tempo aprovo este produto. E posso estar a ter visões mas creio que as manchas deixadas pela acne já não são tão notórias, pelos vistos a minha pele amou a vitamina C.

Cicaplast Baume B5 - Review

  

The Roche-Posay has recently launched, at least in Portugal, a new epidermal repair accelerator indicated for the challenges of everyday: diaper rash, dermatitis of the pacifier, scratches, burns, post-depilatory, insect bites etc.
The cicaplast baume B5 as it's called  is a "soothing multi-repairing balm" suitable for the entire family and it's the latest addition of the range Cicaplast for all types of damaged skin. Fragrance, Paraben and lanolin free and hypoallergenic.
How to use the cicaplast?
- On pre-washed and dried skin.
- 2x/day or whenever necessary to the affected areas
-  In thin or thick layers
- Avoid the eye contour
- Do not use it on skin which has open wounds.
A Roche-Posay lançou recentemente em Portugal um novo acelerador da reparação epidérmica (um cicatrizante) indicado para "todos os males" do quotidiano: Muda de fralda; eritema da fralda; Dermite da chucha; arranhões; queimaduras; pós-depilatório; picadas de insectos...
O cicaplast baume B5 como é chamado trata-se de um bálsamo de multi-indicações para toda a família, e é a mais recente adição à gama Cicaplast para todo o tipo de pele lesada. Sem perfume, parabenos ou lanolina e é hipoalergénico.

Como utilizar o cicaplast?
- Sobre pele previamente limpa
- 2x/dia ou sempre que for necessário
- Em camada fina ou espessa
- Evitar o contorno dos olhos
- Não aplicar em pele que sangre.


The swacth:


Leaves a cooling sensation upon application. Easy to apply and it doesn't leave white marks . With a fine, and rich texture. Not oily or sticky.
Deixa uma  sensação de frescura aquando da sua aplicação. Fácil de aplicar, sem deixar marcas brancas. De textura fina mas nutritiva. Não é oleosa, nem cola.

Overall:
Give it a try honestly. At first, i didn't believe it would work, but damn it really does work. 
Apply it at least twice a day, or ask your doctor to see if it's the more appropriate to you.
Yes i do believe this works. The Minimalist formula gives and excellent tolerance and the cream is easy to apply doesn't get sticky or oily and it's quickly absorved by the skin.   
 I've already try it on some of my cuts and  pimples already in the healing process and the results were pretty good. You have to be realistic and understand that it doesn't heel in a couple of hours but in a couple of days for sure, depending of the wound.   
Nevertheless since it has a an anti-bacterial agent it prevents infections. Which is awesome specially for the kids, and for those people who suffer from acne or pimples. Since it has both antibacterial agents and healing compounds. (acne is mainly caused by bacteria)
It really provides instant coolness so the less it stings the less you'll scratch and the faster it'll heal!
Small package so it's easy to carry it around enabling the use as often as necessary.


Concluindo:

Experimentem, a sério. Eu não acreditava que funciona-se mas bolas funciona muito bem.
Apliquem no mínimo 2 vezes ao dia, ou então perguntem ao dermatologista se é o mais apropriado para o vosso caso.
Sim, para todos os efeitos creio que o balsamo funciona. A formula minimalista confere uma excelente tolerância, não fica pegajoso ou oleoso, e é rapidamente absorvido pela pele.
Já experimentei em alguns dos meus cortes e em borbulhas já no processo de cicatrização e fiquei surpreendida pela positiva Mas é preciso ser realista este creme não vai cicatrizar em duas horas, mas em dois dias digo que sim, mas claro depende da extensão/tipo de lesão.
No entanto como contém compostos antibacterianos previne o aparecimento de infecções. Ajuda na cicatrização de borbulhas do acne tanto pelo facto de possuir antibacterianos (a acne é causada por  bactéria) como ajuda na regeneração da pele danificada. 
Acalma mesmo a pele e se arder /picar menos, menos se coça logo mais rápida se dá à cicatrização.
   Ao contrário do halibut é menos espesso e menos oclusivo, mas se compararmos com  o bepanthene o cicaplast b5 é menos fluido. No entanto é rapidamente absorvido, hidrata a pele, não mancha e acelera mesmo a regeneração da pele. As mamãs que procuram variar/experimentar um creme para o rabinho dos seus bébés este é um boa opção. O preço ronda os 8 euros (40ml) no fórum sintra, 2 euros a mais que o halibut ou bepanthene, mas pelo factor cicatrizante eu considero que vale bem a pena. A alternativa que me lembro assim à primeira seria o mitosyl, mas o odor não me seduz, faz-me lembrar um pouco a peixe, sem querer ofender.
   Embalagem pequena, pode ser transportada e utilizada facilmente para todo o lado optimizando os resultados.

1ª - Calmante, graças ao Panthenol a 5% (pró-vitamina B5)  que alivia o desconforto por aumento da quantidade de mediadores pró-inflamatórios; estimula a epitelização por activação da profileração de queratinócitos; favorece a qualidade da pele já que promove a capacidade de retenção da àgua;
2ª - Antibacteriana, graças ao complexo de pro-epitelização constituído pelo Cobre, Zinco e Magnésio + Madecassoside. O cobre, Zinco e Magnésio em conjunto possuem uma acção antibacteriana contra p.Ovale a p.acnes e S.Epifermis. O Madecassoside limita a adesão dos microorganismos à epiderme por diminuição das forças electrostáticas que atraem as bactérias à superficie das células epiteliais;
3ª - Reparadora, igualmente graças ao complexo de pro-epitelização Cobre, Zinco e Magnésio + Madecassoside.  Sendo que o complexo Mineral acelera a produção de queratinócitos. Colgate Wisp - Review


Desde que começaram a nascer os meus dentes do ciso que tenho andado muito mais preocupada com a minha saúde oral. Ok quem quero enganar estou preocupada e tenho medo que não haja espaço suficiente para eles nascerem e ter que fazer uma "pequena" cirurgia para os remover.Ai ai ai!
Por isso desde Julho que ando a "apalpar" e a fazer caretas estranhas ao espelho para ver como os malditos andam e a tomar conta dos outros porque sou uma esponja a beber café, sou gulosa tudo aquilo que facilita o aparecimento de cáries!
Por isso estava bastante receptiva quando vi estas 4 pequenas escovas à venda no pingo doce a 1,99 euro e pensei hum "I'll give it a shot" e trouxe o de Menta Suave.


Embalagem atractiva, cada escova encontra-se individualmente selada sendo higiénico e sempre pronto a utilizar.
Segundo o website do produto, cada escova tem 9 cms logo é bastante útil "on the go" e pode ser guardada na mala ou até no bolso.

Segundo as direcções do produto:                                           According to the directions of the product:
  •     Não requer Àgua;                                                                         -> Doesn't require water;
  •     De 1 utilização apenas;                                                                 ->Single use;
  •     Não contém açúcar;                                                                     ->No sugar;
  •     É descartável.                                                                               ->It's disposable.

Basicamente trata-se de uma mini escova com duas pontas de utilização:
  • Parte da escova contém já a pasta de dentes embutida no interior;
  • Parte pontiaguada a lembrar palito para alcançar entre os dentes.     

 Basically it's a mini tooth brush with 2 "business" ends:
  • Brush has a small flavour bead embeded in the middle;
  • Pontie end for reaching in between your toofs.                 

    O que achei:
    • O produto não substitui de maneira alguma a tradicional escova de dentes, a pasta de dentes, o escovilhão ou fio dental ou até o elixir antiséptico, mas para situações únicas sem que não se tem acesso água, quando se almoça fora e não se vem logo p'ra casa ou se tem 30 min de almoço é excelente;
    • Deixa de facto uma sensação de limpeza e frescura na boca;
    • O tamanho pode ser um problema já que para alcançar os dentes de trás foi preciso quase enviar a mão na minha boca;
    • Demorou cerca de 20s para a "pérola" se dissolver;
    • Eu pessoalmente não senti Mas a escova pode ser um pouco agressiva para as gengivas ou até para os dentes mais sensiveis;
    • Pode variar de pessoa para pessoa mas pode ser necessária alguma pressão para abrir a "peróla" or bastante saliva para a fazer dissolver-se ou até ambos.

    My thoughts:
    •  The Wisp is not in any way a replace of the traditional toothbrush,the toothpaste, the floss or elixir but for unique situations when you may not have access to water or the sink, or if you have 30 min lunch is excellent; 
    • The size may be problematic it may not reach the back teeth without putting your hand inside the mouth;
    • I personally didn't feel it but the brush can be a little aggressive to the gums or even to sensitive teeth;
    • It took nearly 20s to dissolve the "pearl";
    • For some people it might be require a lot of pressure to break open the flavour or a lot of saliva to dissolve or even both;
    • It gives my mouth a sense of cleanliness and freshness.


    Overall:
    Vou manter sempre comigo um conjunto desta escovas já que a partir de agora durante a semana só terei acesso a casa-de-banhos públicas e ficar a escovar dentes lá é no mínimo insólito.


    I will always keep with me a set of brushes as from now on during the week i'll only have access to public bathrooms and  honestly to brush teeth there is at least unusual and creepy.

       The oil, original from Israel, promises more elasticity, shine, strength, condition, reduction of the drying time and revive the hair.
        And I've been for the last 3 months or so, flirting with it, sorta of speak, whether or not I should buy it, until 2 weeks ago I did it. 
        I came across with a really nice uk website that sells all the Moroccanoil range, and wait for it because the best thing is that it offers FREE WORLDWIDE DELIVERY on all orders, it would be rude not to try, right? That being said I chose the smaller bottle of 25ml at £12,45 for all hair types (click here).
        Although it isn't the fastest shipping for in my case, and i live in Portugal, from ordering online to receiving the email of the dispatch confirmation it took nearly 3 days, and for the actual package to arrive it was another 6 working days, it's the one that better protects the order. The bottle came inside a cardboard box safely sealed and it was quite difficult to dig up the product from all the styrofoam. Ah!


    So enthusiasm aside and after forcing every single hair head in my home to try it, here are my first impressions:

    --- The recipient it's made of an amber glass. So the oil must be vulnerable to the heat, UV light and humidity. So keep that in mind and keep it some place appropriate and no the bathroom's cabinet it's not a choice (humidity).

    --- I wish it would have a dropper or a pump to facilitate the use. I'm afraid I'll end up by spilling the oil all over my hand.

    --- It really is an oil, quite dense but not viscous. I expected it to be more like a liquid but no.


    My Verdict:

    ---Shine: YES definitely. One of the first things i notice right after applying the oil.

    ---Condition: YES, YES, YES. My hair was left so soft yet weightless, just amazing..i couldn't keep my fingers from running through it.

    ---Reduction of the drying time: Surprisingly YES! Perfect for the winter and rainy / humid countries.

    ---Strength and revival of the hair: I believe this is the kind of improvements that i'll only be able to see after a couple of months of using it.

    Overall: I now believe in the wonders of the Moroccanoil. And you only need a small amount each time. Ah!
