Beauty Tip #2 - Stronger nails

Garlic and Nail polish basically.

I'm sure some of you have at least heard this trick before, maybe even some grandma of yours use it. But the truth is, it really does work and it's easy and cheap.

The only disadvantage is the smell! yes sadly it does smell like garlic when you first apply it, but it goes away shortly after. But it doesn't borders me.

And to this day I haven't notice any alteration in my nail polish.

Here's what to do:

Side Notes:

-  > it's keen that you've already used some of the nail polish so there's enough space for the garlic or else it would spill over and we don't want that;

-> Cut the garlic in small pieces enough to fit trough the bottleneck;

-> If you're having trouble making it go down just use the brush, way less messy :p .

After all this work you only have to wait about 7-9 days until all the enzymes and vitamins have invaded the nail polish and voilá, stronger nails await you.
Just remember to shake before each time you use it.

Hope it was any help to you.
Do you have a secret DIY beauty tip you would like to share? I'm all ears...or eyes:p
Have a bright week

Beautybay purchase

Hello gorgeous!
I'm sure you've probably heard of beauty bay an UK online shop for beauty items (with the lower prices of the market) with free delivery but of course.
It was my first time ordering from this website and i wanted to share it with you, in case your still undecided or if you just like to know how it goes.
On this post I'll basically do a review on their service, if it's safe, an opening package sort a of thing mixed with how must it was.

How it went:
I selected 2 bottles of china glaze nail polish that i can't get here or if I can they're ridiculously expensive beyond understanding. Wrote down my address &  paid using Visa. Immediately after I've received an e-mail saying "yes we've acknowledge your order Miss".
I post my order on a Friday 31st of August a dumb thing to do since they don't work on the weekends and rightfully so. Therefore I only received the e-mail confirmation that my order has been dispatched on Monday, 3rd September.
I then received the actual package 8 days after on Tuesday, September eleven.
The package arrived safe and sound, the actual cardboard box was inside the black plastic bag.
The nail polish was all wrapped in a bubble bag and in turn the bubble bag was surrounded in styrofoam all inside the cardboard box.

The price:

How it actually appeared on the passbook ("caderneta") or the coupon

Each bottle was 7,16£ , both 14,32£ . In Euro 18,12. Those 0,49 and 0,02 are the taxes.
Each china glaze bottle in Portugal retails at about 19,99 which makes this purchase a success.
But they're still bloody expensive. Just to think they retail at 6 dollars in the USA.

My opinion:
I'm satisfied with their service. Fast, it came by plane and I bet their not exactly based next to the airport. It had to go through the customers services, it went to head quarters of the post office, etc. All in 6 days because the post office is closed during the weekend.
I was terribly worried about the nail polish, would it crack, would I open the box to find all the nail polish blasted everywhere? Thank god it arrived in perfect state, it even survived after the postman tossed it over my fence just to safe me the time and trouble of heading down to the local post office XD Can you imagine?Me open those curtains to see who was ringing and suddenly see a black bag being tossed over my fence and screaming at the top of my lungs "NOOOOOOO!"

Why I buy online?
It's cheaper, easy, so far I have nothing to complain about.
With the IVA being here so high, plus the intermediaries profit the final price is way too much for me so I turn to online beauty shops specially the British ones. Cheap, fast service, it's worth it to save a few more bucks. I get to use "luxury" beauty products that I normally wouldn't be able to.
And I quite frankly don't like & want to buy anything here knowing 23% is going directly to the government! I'm tired of it. They're too greedy, I want them to go....whatever far away from me.

Will I buy more nail polishes? Hell no, they're still expensive. It was a splurge. A 2 year splurge in the making. I'll probably just buy L'oreal shampoos, TIGI shampoo and conditioner for my sis, that sort a of thing, but not until the new year and with coupons :P

My personal tips when buying online:

I've bought from on-line websites twice from Feelunique and once from lookfantastic (see the review here), being feel unique my favourite simply because is the fastest one. Both offer free delivery by the way.

 - Buy during the sales. I only buy from on-line shops on specific times of the year, the sales. The summer sales and the sales after Christmas 'cus that's when they lower the prices even more.
- Give the time and effort to compare the prices between websites. Read tones of reviews on both their customer services and the actual products that you're thinking of buying.
- Visit websites that have voucher and discount codes for you to use like everydaysale.co.uk, or simply tied it down on google.
- Make sure it's safe. I use the mbnet system. It basically creates a virtual & temporarily visa card where you put the amount of money you want in there, I only put enough to post the order. That way they can't get to all your money.
- If your buying for the first time, then only order 1 product, just to try it out, see if takes a long time, if it actually works and all.
- If your buying in a different coin make sure to check the rating. Pound is usually higher during the summer.

Hope you've find this very long post somewhat useful
If you have anymore questions or doubts please ask, or even suggestions I'll be sure to answer them all.
Have an awesome weekend

Nails, Nails and more Nails!!

Hey my beloved!! Hope u girls are all right! And for the ones at uni that might having exams the best of Luck!!
Brace yourselves these is going to be a totally girlie post!!All about my currently new obsession: nail polish. Well glittery nail polish actually :p
Ever since i ordered on-line the essie "shine of the times" as my sis birthday gift, i'm obsessed about it!Yes i've tried it i couldn't resist it looked so good on my sis's nails!!Yup all the fuss surround it was correct it really is different and looks freaking gorgeous!!

These was how my sis's nails looked!! Let me tell you the essie isn't a bumpy nail polish, it's smooth :O. Easy to apply, dries quickly and lasts a lot!.The "shine of the times" isn't suppose to be used alone, it's more like a top coat. And i guess that if u wear it with dark nail polish u'll get more holographic effects!

And these were my nails.See in these one u noticed the green effects a lot more! It's simply gorgeous.(Yup i don't like stuffing all my nails with glittery nail polish just the ring finger :p :p)
But hey we know essie's nail polish aren't cheap or easy to get your hands on, at least the latest collection, so i've been on a hunt to find an essie substitute and being the sales time it hasn't been easy to pick just one! And u know how i am, money is hard to earn so i tend to "flirt" first and only after a couple of thoughts i'll buy it. But then i read on blogs about the Kiko nail polish and how they last pretty well on, and then saw them on sale at 1,50 euros, it was simply destiny!! I picked two! both glittery :P
It's simply amazing how you only take 10 euros to the shopping mall thinking u'll just gonna get 1 coffee and end up spending the entire 10 bucks ahahaha

Each 1,50 euros! Each with a capacity of 11ml. But i don't know their names i don't think they even have one, and they have a bunch of different numbers so i can't really say for sure

Oh gosh the image does not do any justice to the actual nail polish! I couldn't capture those little sparkly reflects :( Well i can tell you it's easy to apply, it dries pretty quickly and i only needed 2 coats to get the deep burgundy colour i was looking for, well the colour u see on the photo:p After i've said the essie is smooth and not bumpy at all, the Kiko one is bumpy, u can definitely feel the glitters, but i still love it, it lasts a looong time i even dish-wash the other day and yet they've survived so a thousand thumbs up for that, go Kiko!

A closer look of the straight out glittery nail polish from Kiko
It's way more blue than essie, and u don't get those funkie holographic effects, but it's still gorgeous

And just so we can get a better comparison...(and cus i love it!!:p)

Yup the essie is just another level: smooth, dries quickly, the effects are really damn good, last a long time without fading away, the only downside the price!!
And now i'm gonna show u what my mom did to her own nails!:p as anyone heard of gelish polish?
It's suppose to be like the gel type except the part of being terrible to the nails. It's way more low maintenance than the gel, it's 2-3 weeks durable and we've both seen it one other's nails, including my friend Rita and it looked gorgeous, so she went for it.

They were 20 euros, and boy don't they look shiny and pretty. Well we'll see how it goes, so far it's has holden up pretty well!
