At the hard rock cafe

Hi Bloggers!
Last Sunday afternoon well past 16h I was taken blindly to Lisbon without anyone telling me exactly where we were going: a surprise! I was over the moon when I found out we were going to the hard rock cafe in Lisbon, one of my favourite places to go out at night or simply have the friendly cup of coffee. I love the vibe, being me a rock fan the hard rock is practically heaven for me with it's walls full of history and clothes, guitars and other props from the rock gods.
It's a huge hard rock cafe with it's two floors, the friendly service is well known to the hard rock customers, the food is freaking huge, the music is obliviously of very good taste and did I mention there's an entire Cadillac hanging from the celling?

Here's my snack! A freaking huge brownie, with vanilla ice cream, fresh cream, nuts, delicious warm & melted chocolate, sprinkles and of course a cherry on top of it all! A snack for two no doubt, for around 8 euros yes a bit too much but it's really damn good and quite honestly you don't have the hunger or space for diner after...I know I didn't, and even the lovely waitress teased me wishing me a good dinner ahahahah

Definitely a place to visit! I believe it's bigger than the hard rock of London even though they have an entire basement below their shop full /packed with more valuable stars goods but it's England for crying out loud. Other than the Lisbon I've only been in London
What's your favorite?
Have a good an productive week

Coffee by the harbour

HI there! How have you been? Good I hope
Last Sunday I was pretty much dragged out of bed to take a relaxed walk by the beach, something I haven't done for quite a while I gotta confess, why? life happens and it gets rather busy (and I lazy as hell)
Well after the tantrum I put off I went, and I liked it, and gosh how I missed smelling that deep salty air by the morning, feeling that chilly and reassuring weather by the sea making me take refugee in my hoodie. Talking small talks full of meaning and having that usual tiny cup of coffee.

We ended up going to the harbour of Oeiras where a sufficient amount of people with their kids or grand-kids, besides still being early, were happily gathered. And my friendly coffee couldn't be missing.
A little time after we went all the way back by the beach till the car.

I've been worrying pretty much about the world, the crisis yaddy yaddy....
Sometimes even when everything seems going the wrong way with no sunshine on the horizon you just gotta keep living and believing. 'Cus lets be real, my grandparents and even my parents lived worst and in a time with less food and prospect of a better life and they still made it.
Keep the head held high along with your spirit, Always!

Quick OOTD and Coffe

Seems like the summer heat has arrived at last, in september!! It has been soo hot this last few days! Not that i'm complaining! The next OOTD pictures were taken today just before i left the house while the coffe and desserts photos were taken in a lovely caffe in Mafra (yeeh i love that town) called Polo Norte with a reputation that macthes the quality and friendly environment!

The blue ankle pants, my go-to piece this summer, are from Promod.
The green top is from Mango.
The nude shoes are from a very portuguese shoe shop Calçado Guimarães.
My summer obsession / love, the wanna be crocodile shoulderbag is from Ricamel, shop nº51 inside the Shopping Mall of Carcavelos.
The necklace is a mystery!:P I bought it along with the shell bracelet, see here, from a local merchant. I just thought it looked kinda tribal and pretty and it was just 3 euros so why not? But what is it made of i can't tell since i didn't ask the seller about it.

 And now the Coffes!!!

Does it look good or what?

The two cakes on the first picts are called Parras, and they're made of fresh eggs,on the inside and on the outside of thin puff pastry. And it tastes like heaven!Okay not really but they are really good.
As you can see there's a good variety of cakes to buy even by the slice, all at an affordable price starting at 45 cents. Those slices of chocolate cake or almond delightfully decorated with fruit and chocolate are 1,15 euro each and all edible of course. So yeah it's really a nice place to go if you happen to be in the neighborhood. The calories? Oh dear if you're gonna think like that than you better not go out to eat like..anywhere in Portugal. But for a one time go out why not?Just spend an extra 15-30 min in the gym. By the way Polo Norte also sells fresh bread and makes various kinds of custom cakes: birthdays, parties, engagements, weddings ...

Those 2 concentrated tiny little cups of coffee are 60 cent each and they guarantee a safe home return :P Pure coffe my friends!

Sure i couldn't return home without bringing some cakes to the rest of the family, so here they are!
1 Parra for my sister. This is what the inside looks like. I don't know why but i feel so naughthy posting this pict.XD

1 travesseiro ( "pillow") for daddy. Original from Sintra. It is also made of fresh eggs and pastry, but completely different from the Parra. Why? Nobody knows the recipe. Secrets centuries old.
1 trança ("braid") to share with my mother!Guess what's made off?

And thats all!
