Phanteon
Panteão
Day 2# After a well slept night (and a bit of the day1# afternoon), day#2 was dedicated to Ancient Rome (letting the Pope take a rest in his cozy home).
Pantheon: Only the best preserved Roman monument and the largest dome made in mortar worldwide!'It is Absolutely huge! The width is exactly the same as the the height ONLY 43,500 meters.
Colored marbles everywhere, this is where the tomb of the great Raphael is and only after entering this monument I could understand the magnificence of Ancient Rome (built in 27 BC)!
Only endured over time, invasions and plunder because it was transformed into a Christian church, the same can be said of all the monuments in Italy, the rest that didn't do so, was plundered, sacked, reused and simply destroyed (for revenge). Oh imagine what we might have the pleasure of seeing today!
We got lucky! In the exact moment we were visiting there was being held a musical! So we sat down to enjoy the magical moment.

A largura é exactamente igual à altura SÓ 43.500m.

Obelisk of Ramses II with 3300 years, "brought" from Egypt! There are another 11 across the city.

Monument to Victor Emmanuel II, 1st king of unified Italy and considered to be the father of the country.

On the left the Palace of Venice, once the residence of cardinals, ambassadors and the working group of Mussolini. It was on that balcony that Mussolini proclaimed the declaration of war.

Super white and gigantic! Ps: no dome!
Super branco é gigante! Ps: não tem cúpula!

On the way to the Capitol and from there to the Coliseum
