Praia Costa Nova / Costa Nova beach

Primeiro as Praias.

We've wanted to visit Aveiro for so long. But it was always the same thing. Our schedules didn't matched and we ended up putting the trip off for bit more. Up until yesterday.
We got up at a ridiculous time for a person in holiday. We took our crap, feed the animals and off we went.

Aveiro. It is one of the most charming cities of Portugal. And I venerate Sintra. It is best known for its estuary, the "moliceiros", the amount of new art buildings and the river. The river that goes into the city, creating a truly charming city. Fresh and so charming with its many bridges. So beautiful! And very much alive! Plenty to see and experience.

First the beaches. We started on the beach of Costa Nova, with such cute houses. Very well cared for and so colorful. It carried me back to the 50s, so very beautiful.

Praia da Barra /Barra Beach

O 2º maior farol da Europa / The 2nd tallest lighthouse in Europe

Centro de Aveiro / Center of Aveiro

Pormenor da estação de Comboios / Detail of the train station

After getting our bellys full we went to the beach "Barra", and visited the tallest lighthouse of the Iberian Peninsula and the 2nd in Europe.

Then we went to the center of Aveiro, we sailed the "moliceiro" for about 45 minutes with the right to a guided tour of the most important sites. And sightseeing. Aveiro is a very charming and beautiful city. What we missed was the infant Dom Pedro park, the dunes of São Jacinto and a visit to the so renowned factory Vista Alegre.

All the more reason to go back.
